Can i cancel my gym membership at Nuffield Health?

I joined Nuffield health with my partner back in August last year for a 12 months contract. Unfortunately in November my partner lost her job. She now has found a new job but it is miles away so we are having to relocate, and therefore we like to cancel my membership. I have phoned nuffield and they have refused to cancel. Any ideas of a get out clause ?
