I know that FHP is for people with income too high to qualify for medicaid, but practically, what is the difference? Is there a cost for FHP? Or is the coverage different in some way?

Answer
It's like the difference between Jeans, and Levi's. Family Health Plus is a Medicaid program, where the costs are heavily subsidized by the medicaid program. Unlike straight Medicaid, there are copayments for services you buy. No monthly cost - but you pay something with your doctor/hospital visits.

Answer
You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

How can i get a Family health plus insurance if i got a denial letter?

The letter says that I wasn't elegible because my gross income of $936.00 is over the income limit of $903.00 (over only by$30) , what can I do?, I'm desperate, I'm really sick and I need public insurance since I can't afford to pay anything, I was applying as single, thank you much!

Answer
You can ask your employer to cut your pay, so that your income will be less. Lowering your income is the only thing that you can do. You cannot get the income limit raised or waived.
